The Lorillard Lofts project is an ambitious conversion of a 216,000 sq. ft. former tobacco processing plant that sits on ten acres next to downtown Lexington, Kentucky, and in the center of major redevelopment activity, including the Town Branch Commons Corridor Project. The Lorillard processing plant, which dates to the 1940s, processed millions of pounds of locally grown burley tobacco and had an around-the-clock workforce of over 250 people at its height of production. The Lorillard Lofts is a deed-restricted, mixed-use community that has 43 residential units and 1 commercial office unit.
